Products available for purchase are determined by the local fire department, EMS provider, or law enforcement agency with authority over your location. As the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), each agency selects the products approved for use based on its specific requirements.
Before adding items to your cart, it is important to select the correct department or agency. When ordering online, after entering your installation address, we do our best to help you select the correct department, but it is your responsibility to confirm the information. If you are unsure, reach out to your local department to confirm they are your service provider.
If you are new department or organization wanting more information on how to start a Knox program, please select the "contact your territory sales manager" option to find the appropriate salesperson.

You can purchase Knox® products directly from our website. Because Knox products must be approved by your local fire department or responding agency, the ordering process includes a few extra steps. Click on the Order Online icon to view online ordering instructions, or click on "START HERE" at the top of the page to select your department.

In some case, departments want to approve your purchase or require that you obtain a permit. We are here to help you navigate through the process. When ordering online, messages will be provided on special department requirements.
Department requiring e-approval
An eApproval requires extra steps before Knox can build and ship your product.
Not all departments require an e-approval. You will be notified if you order requires approval.
Department Authorization Forms
You’ll need to first obtain a Knox Authorization Order form from the public safety agency that will respond to the location where you plan to install the Knox Product. You can download this form by following the Online Ordering instructions
An Authorization form is available to download from Knox Products Pages if your selected department or agency requires an auth form.
An authorized signer must sign the form and all sections must be completed. Then, mail the completed form with payment to the Knox Company and we will ship your product. When paying by check and an authorization order form is required, include the form with the required authorizing signature from the authority having jurisdiction and mail both to the address below:
